Super 14 - Week Four Preview

The Super 14 competition this year has been a good one. It is nice to see the Crusaders come back to the rest of the field which has meant that 10 or so of the 14 teams were real chances to make the finals this year. Sportsbet.com.au has all the rugby covered so there is no excuse not to make a few quid this weekend.
There are some mouth watering encounters this weekend and it all kicks off on Friday evening when the Chiefs host the Western Force. The Chiefs are certainly the best 0 from 3 team in the history of the competition, and could have won all of their first three games. Their draw was a horror one and they still have a glimmer of hope if they can overcome the Force this weekend. The Force had a great win over the Brumbies last weekend, and a win would give them a 3 and 1 record and plenty to look forward to over the latter part of the competition.
The other super matchup of the weekend is the Auckland Blues at home against the Sharks. The Sharks are the real deal this year but so are the Blues. The Blues have had 3 tough encounters on the road against strong opposition, and are sitting comfortably with two wins and a long string of home games in front of them. I called them as a good bet to make the finals last week but if they win this week then you would have missed the boat.
The other games will see some of the stronger sides looking to consolidate good early season form, with the other crunch game being the Crusaders who must travel to their South Island neighbours the Highlanders, in a desperate bid not to slip to 1 and 3. My line bet tips this week are; Chiefs, Blues, Crusaders, Waratahs, Bulls and Cheetahs.
