The sport of cycling is one that is always marred by controversy. The information available suggests that many of these athletes are one step ahead of the drug testers and it would be fantastic if they could wipe them out of the contest. Every year the Tour De France is marred by another scandal and if they can't change this image they will damage one of the greatest sporting spectacles on the planet.
The headlines this year will be for all the right reasons with American Superman Lance Armstrong returning to the saddle after a few years in retirement. There is no doubt that he is one of the greatest sportsmen ever and it will be great to have him go round again. Ladbrokes.com has an extensive range of markets every year on the Tour, and it might be the perfect time to get on the winner sooner rather than later if you think you have the good mail. There will be plenty of sentimental money on Armstrong but at $5.00 and a clear second favourite, he is well and truly under the odds. Alberto Contador is certainly the man to beat but $2.50 seems pretty short. If everything goes according to plan he will be very difficult to beat but again I am not sure I want to take such a short price. Andy Schlek and Cadel Evans could be the value in the race and both are at a very attractive $10.00 and $11.00 respectively. Both of these guys have proven that they are up to this level of competition and both of them should be in this competition for a long time. The other thing to consider is that you can turn a little into a lot by taking the better value. Good punting and good luck. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
