If you are Rugby fan then there is no better time than right now. You have the Six Nations kicking off in Europe and you are only 1 week away from the start of another Super 14 season.
England will be way too strong for the Italians but the other two games are set to be very interesting. Wales travel to Scotland and are 4 point favourites. This game really comes down to how committed the Welsh are and you would think that if they play to potential they should cover the spread. The other game sees the Irish host the French and the French get a 3.5 point head start. This is really hard as the experts expect the Irish to be the big improvers but you can never discount the French in this competition. Sportsbet.com.au has a very competitive future market for the Six Nations and Ireland at $4.00 seem great value especially if they overcome the French in the first game. The Super 14 is always an interesting competition. The weather again will be a big talking point as teams in South Africa and Australia will be expected to play in some oppressive conditions at the end of summer. As the New Zealand teams go the Crusaders are going to start favourites at $4.00 which seems a pretty juicy price as they are always competitive. The Hurricanes appear short at around $5.00, but you might get some good value out of the Chiefs at $13.00. The Australian teams might have a hard competition with depth always being their problem. It would be surprising to see any of them lift the trophy this year. I expect the Force and the Brumbies to be on the improve, the Reds to be about the same, and the Waratahs to struggle to show the form they showed last year. Lastly the South African teams should be competitive with the Sharks ($7) and the Stormers ($13) expected to be the best. The other big chance they have are the Bulls ($13) who still have a huge forward pack and can make their presence felt if they get on a run. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
