Get ready to swing for the rails and when you connect jump on top and commence the ground and pound. Welcome to the world of Mixed Martial Arts or MMA. There are a few different organizations putting on MMA cards but it is the UFC that is the best of the best by far.

Americans go crazy for this brand of fighting and I have to say I am a huge fan and convert. I still love a good boxing match in preference but they are so few and far between. The great thing about the UFC is that you get lots of good fights.

Sportsbet.com.au has started booking lots of MMA and that is excellent for all you fight fans out there. They have a few listed at the moment that should be able to pay some nice

dividends.

Micheal "The Count" Bisping will take on Chris Leben in Birmingham later this year. I really like Chris Leben and he is the sort of kid that leaves everything out in the ring and is tough. Bisping, however, is one of my all time favourites and I think he will find a way to beat the kid. Bisping is ruthless and has the perfect game that features great ground and stand up ability. You can get $1.43 about Bisping which I think is a good price.

On the same card you will see Keith "The Dean of Mean" Jardine take on Brandon Verra. This will be a world class fight and make no mistake will be worth the price of pay for view. Jardine is a bikie looking, hard nut that is loved by everyone apart from those he faces in the ring. Verra is younger and one of the true superstars. Jardine is at $2.35 which is the right price as he is definitely the underdog. The great thing about him though is that he is tough and if you put your money on him you will get plenty of bang for your buck.

Late in October fans are going to get two title fights with the Middleweight and the Heavywieght belts up for grabs on the same night. The first will see Cote take on Silva. Silva the Brazilian thrashing machine is at $1.12 and it is hard to see him getting beaten. The other fight sees Brock Lesnar take on Randy Couture. This fight is basically a coin flip. Couture is the grand daddy of the sport, everyone loves and respects him but he is coming out of retirement for this one. He probably shouldn't be at $1.80 as there will be a lot of sentimental money on him, but it is hard to bet against him.
