The English Premier League has blasted off again. Like every year it looks like 3 or 4 clubs will battle it out for the Premiership and the rest will just simply go around and make sure they don't get relegated. In many ways I think the relegation race is far more interesting than the premiership race as there are far more teams in the running for relegation.
It appears that the early favourites areā¦surprise, surpriseā¦.. Manchester United and Chelsea. Sportsbet.com.au has a huge range of bets from all the individual matches to the futures in many of the leagues across the world and currently has United at $3.00 and Chelsea at $2.00. Even money seems a little short for Chelsea but they appear to have the best list and should be inspired by a new coach and new direction. Manchester has had a little trouble with injuries and they also had a lot of to-ing and fro-ing over their list in regards to where their best players were going to end up. If United can get through the first part of the season then you would think they have every chance of winning the title. Obviously the next two in betting are Liverpool at $7.00 and Arsenal at $11.00. The next best is at 150/1 or better. What a healthy competition? In fact actually calling it a competition is laughable. The money is usually spot on when it comes to English football and the fact that Chelsea and Man United are so short suggests that the other two aren't really competitive this year. So in short, pick the one you like and hope you get it right. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
