NRL - Round Twenty Two Preview

This weekend kicks off with the blockbuster of all blockbusters in what most smart pundits think will be the grand final preview, when the Melbourne Storm travels to Brookvale to take on the Manly Sea Eagles. I still think the Storm are the best side by some margin in this competition but the venue certainly brings Manly right into this game. The Storm has played well against Manly at home before but there is a lot to like about how the Sea Eagles have continued to improve as a football team over the last few seasons.

The other game which appears to be fascinating is the Penrith verse Canberra clash which should see one of these sides make the finals this year. This is a huge effort for two clubs that have struggled over the last few years. As for a winner, it's hard to pick but maybe the home field edge will be enough for the Raiders.

The Warriors and Broncos will be another not to miss clash with the Warriors trying to sneak into the finals and the Broncos making a late charge for the top 4. It is always hard to win over in New Zealand but we all know that the Broncos start to move into over drive at this time of the year.

The bet of the round might be the Roosters who should dominate the hapless Parramatta. Even though the Roosters are notorious for losing games they should win with second position up for grabs this looms as a must win for Freddie and his boys.
