The F1 championship is hotting up and the stage seems set for one of the greatest performances in its long history.
Lewis Hamilton and his McLaren Mercedes looked like having a disappointing season at the start of this year. The Ferrari's were flying and things weren't going right for the Brit who looked to have all the skill but not the car to get even close to the title. Well McLaren got the car right and the Mercedes engine was tweaked to perfection and all of a sudden the silver and black started to reel in the Scarlet Stallion. Hamilton leads the Drivers Championship on 62 points which has him 5 points clear of Ferrari's Kimi Rakkonen on 57. The only other contender is the Brazillian Felipe Massa who is the second Ferrari driver who is on 54. The betting at Partybets.com has Hamilton very short at $1.57 and the Flying Finn Raikkonen at $3.50. Massa is rated a relative long shot at $6.50. If you are a romantic then you would have to take the short price on Hamilton. The value appears to be with the Brazilian who at $6.50 is only a few good races away from getting the full attention of the Ferrari team. The one thing that is for sure is that the champagne will be popped after the rubber stops burning. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
