Brownlow betting is one of the highlights of the year. For a sportsaholic like myself I love the Monday night leading up to the Grand Final. There is just something about the Brownlow that sets it apart from other best and fairest competitions in other sports. It must be something about the betting, the leaks and the passion and regard the medal holds. Sportsbet.com.au is a great place to get a bet on the Brownlow every year and you will find they have some of the most competitive prices going around.

I had a good dig at Nick Dal Santo early in the year and have done my money there, but it is a good time to have a little tickle before we head into the final. Gary Ablett Jnr was a clear cut

favourite before he was struck down with an injury over the last few weeks. He is now out to $3.00 which still has him as favourite but we will have to wait to see if it takes him a few weeks to get back to his top form and chalk up some votes.

Last year's winner and fellow Geelong superstar Jimmy Bartell has been the big mover and is now at $3.50. He had a fairly slow start to the season but with Ablett missing in recent weeks he has certainly come right into contention.

Brent Harvey must have a great chance as well and is at $5.00. The big question for the Kangaroos star is if he can pick up minor votes in losing sides. He has had a mountain of possessions this year and always polls well and has the advantage of playing in a side void of superstars that may take consistent votes of him.

The last player in the betting is Adam Cooney from the Bulldogs who at $9.00 is an interesting contender. He had a great start to the year and could well lead the count for a long way, the only question is if he has picked up many votes in second half of the year. Sydney superstar Brett Kirk at $26.00 could be great value as a bolter but also expect O'keefe to pick up plenty of votes for the Swans.
