Tri Nations - Wallabies v All Blacks

James Potter
The first clash between the All Blacks and the Wallabies looms as a classic encounter. The Kiwis will want to show their Australian counterparts that they can steal their best coach but they can't lay claim to their title as the best in the world. There will be a big crowd in Sydney and the Aussies form line coming into the game is very promising. Since hiring Robbie Dean there seems to be genuine optimism emulating from the Wallaby camp.

Many pundits rate the Aussies a huge chance but I still think they are a fair way off to being real contenders. It's one thing to beat a disappointing Springboks, but is another thing all together to get over the top of an All Black side that will be baying for

blood.

The All Blacks will go in favourites and at -3.5 on the line they look like the stronger bet. I also think it makes sense to take the line instead of the shorter quote for the All Blacks to win. If you like the Aussies then take the price and prey the Kiwis have a bad night away from home.

It's an interesting market for the Tri Nation winner and I still think the All Blacks represent the value here especially if they win and win well in Sydney.
