The AFL must have a warm inner glow at the moment. 12 of the 16 teams are still in the running to make the final 8. Three of the four that are out of the running include two grand finalists in the last two years and last years favourite to win the flag. You would have to say that the draft is working and the game is in a very strong position. There are still too many Victorian teams and that will come back to haunt the administration in the future but at the moment it is happy days.
With such a crowded leader board there are plenty of very important games. The game that everyone wants to see will feature the Cats against the Hawks in what many predict will be a grand final preview. The line appears to be right and I favour the Cats in a very close one and will just enjoy the game as I don't see any value on either team. Collingwood will beat Essendon easily and bust the bubble out at Windy Hill. You would think that even Collingwood couldn't lose a game that is this important against such inferior opposition. Richmond faces its moment of truth against the Lions and I think they can get away with this game. Their last two games are very winnable and a victory here against the Lions will have the Tigerland faithful talking finals. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
