F1 - Monte Carlo Preview2008-05-25
James Potter
I usually find motor racing pretty dull affair with the exception of Formula One. Millionaire playboy's screeching around in expensive cars, free-flowing bubbly, glamorous pit girls and the party atmosphere. There is just something about the F1 that simply sets it apart from the rest.
There is only one race every year that sums up the extravagance of F1 and that is Monaco. If you ever get the chance to go to Monaco, jump at the offer and make sure you walk around the track. It really is mind boggling. The racing might play second fiddle to the partying but who cares, this is the F1. When it comes to having a bet on all manner of motor sports Partybet.com is the best site hands down. They have excellent markets on all races and certainly no lack of options for the astute punter, the recreational lounge lizard or petrol head. For Monaco you can bet on the winner of pole position, race winner, top 3, points finish, head to head markets and winning manufacturer. What more could you possibly want. The harder part is trying to find a winner. Hamilton has been very impressive this year and appears the most reliable of all the favourites for the driver's championship. The key at Monaco, however, is getting pole position and it seems as if Ferrari has had a mortgage on getting their car fast in the lead up. So if you are looking for the race winner you might want to stick with the Italians. To finish in the points (top 8) is an interesting market and one that lets you take some of the lesser known drivers and cars. Maybe someone like the Brazilian Rubens Barrichello, who has driven at this track millions of times, might be able to limp his Honda into the points on the tricky street surface; paying $3.20. The most important thing is to have a wager and enjoy the race. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
