Mike Weir - The Value at the Honda Classic2008-02-27
James Potter
Last weekend we where yet again treated to a mercurial performance from Tiger Woods, where he put on a putting display that had to be seen to be believed. Not only does he hit the ball the best, he just sinks putt after putt that would destroy the steeliest heart of any of the worlds next best in this format. It doesn't get better than watching the Tiger stalk his way around a course and just find a way to beat everyone nearly all the time. He is taking the week off so there will be some value to be found at PartyBets in the golf this weekend. We are back to the hard job of finding a winner in a large field, both at the Honda Classic and the Johnny Walker Classic.
The Honda Classic should be a tight betting affair with Ernie Els and Justin Rose in the first lines of betting. I like Mike Weir. The Canadian leftie is starting to play better golf after a few years in the wilderness. He is around the 40/1 quote and this appears fantastic value. I also really like him in the head to head market against J Byrd. The Johnny Walker Classic is a very interesting field. Australian Adam Scott will start as favorite and it's in events such as this that he is very hard to beat. Hot on his tail in betting is Vijay Singh. I would recommend choosing between these two, taking and stand and crossing your fingers. I would back the one you like straight out and also take your choice head to head against the other. PartyBets is offering a really competitive market with the early money coming for the Australian. The rest of the field are big odds, but that is not to say they can't win. Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez represents value, on his day he can be world class and you should get better than 30/1. News CategoriesRSS xml feed
