The Miami Dolphins and New York Giants make history at Wembley!

When the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins play this week they will be making NFL history. Their round 8 match up at Wembley Stadium is the first time a regular-season game has taken place outside of North America. Wembley Stadium is a magnificent venue that will be converted from the home of many soccer showpieces, to the home of the NFL for one massive Sunday afternoon.

The clash will bring together teams heading in opposite directions. The New York Giants have won five straight after losing the opening two games, whilst the Miami Dolphins are coming into the match after seven straight losses. The 0-7 start signals the worst opening to a season in the proud 42 year history of the Dolphins and

things don't look like being any easier this week.

The Dolphins were without quarterback Trent Green for the year, but things got dramatically worse in last weeks loss to New England. Star running back Ronnie Brown injured his knee and will be out for the season. The Miami side is famous for being the first team to go through an entire season undefeated in 1972 and they will be desperate for a win to avoid being the first to go 0-16.

The New York Giants are starting to make noise in the weak NFC. After an 0-2 start the team was looking down the barrel of a long season. Coach Tom Coughlin was under scrutiny and the defense looked terrible. Since then the defense has performed magnificently, bringing extremely effective pass rush. With Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora the Giants have a very dangerous tandem on the defensive line.

The offense has also been firing on all cylinders, with Eli Manning having a break out season. The improving fitness of Brandon Jacobs at running back will also help this already talented offensive unit. It is hard to see how Miami will be able to stop the successful Manning to Burress partnership that has been on fire so far this year.

This match up looks like a one sided battle that New York should win comfortably.
