FA Cup Draw and Betting Update

The fifth round draw for the FA Cup took place yesterday. As the big guns were kept apart once more, the bookmakers reacted by keeping Chelsea as the hot favourites at 7/4.

Home games for Chelsea and Manchester United appear the order of the day for this seasons FA Cup competition. Chelsea were installed as 7/4 favourites by Bet365 after being drawn against Blackpool or Norwich, at Stamford Bridge, in round 5. Meanwhile, Manchester United, for the third time in the famous English cup competition, were drawn against Premiership opposition at home. This time Reading must make the trip to Old Trafford in what looks like the Red Devils' toughest cup task so far this season. Bet365 installed United as 9/4 second favourites.

Elsewhere, a fascinating North West derby game was set up as Preston North End drew Manchester City at home. Preston are in red hot form right now and, with City's worries over their manager's decision to accept the England Under-21 job, a shock could be on the cards.
