Make Some Money at The Emmys

One of the bet types increasing in popularity is betting on "entertainment". Tonight is another one of the popular betting nights on the "entertainment" calendar with the Emmy's. The Emmy's are being covered by many sites and we will have a look at a few of the main categories.

Best Comedy Series

This category has been dominated by The Office. The best odds available were 1/1 at Bodog. But with only 50 limits, it makes it hard to get much out of it. The main danger to The Office appeared to be Arrested Development. The chances of the upset diminished though when Arrested was cancelled.

Best Actor in a Comedy Series

Another category with a stifled market. Most pundits are suggesting that Steve Carrell is a lock. 1.478 at Pinnacle appears to be good value. It looks like a second category for The Office.

Best Actress in a Comedy Series

This category provides the chance to find some value. The three main chances for this category are Lisa Kudrow, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Jane Kaczmarek. The clear favourite is Malcolm in the Middle star Kaczmarek. But the best value might be The Comeback star Kudrow. Kudrow is best known for her performances as Phoebe in Friends, but has been very popular in The Comeback.

Best Drama Series

Another very narrow market. Grey's Anatomy dominates the betting. It is the hot new show of the year, loved by viewers and critics around the world. Possibly the only danger to Grey's is 24. Coming off one of its best seasons, 24 could be value. But everything seems to point towards a win by Grey's.

Best Actor in a Drama Series

Denis Leary is another very short priced favourite that appears a lock. The only possibly danger is Kiefer Sutherland, however Rescue Me star Leary looks like the winner.

Best Actress in a Drama Series

This is the most open category by far. Any of the five seem a genuine winning chance. Probably the most interesting thing about this category is Allison Janney having the chance to join an exclusive group of 5 time winners. She is a definite chance. Another massive chance is Kyra Sedgwick who stars in The Closer.

Good Luck to anyone that tries to back a winner. The 1/1 about The Office appears to be the best value available.
